Week 4: site redesign!

  • This week I decided to stop faffing around and just book a date for my driving theory exam. Did the driving aptitude test and I was honestly expecting some kind of Rorschach test (because if I remember right, I did that 20 years ago?!), but instead it was a really cool Atari-like videogame where you control two dots on different lanes using two handles! πŸ‘Ύ
A vintage computer setup from the 1980s, used for driving aptitude tests in Spain. A small CRT monitor displays a simple blue and white video game with wavy parallel lines. Below and to the left of the screen is a metal control box with two steering-wheels. To the right of the controller is a keyboard.
  • Joined Mastodon and Pixelfed! πŸš€
  • Found guanciale for the first time in my local grocery store and made carbonara with it and it was so delicious and sublime and wonderful, I honestly will never be able to make pasta with bacon, ever again! 🍝🍷
  • Had an identity crisis, edited my blog’s CSS. Loving the dark theme.

  • 🍿 Only watched one movie this week, Holy Cow. Absolutely loved this weird French story and the character arc was wonderful.
  • πŸ“Ί Finished season 1 of Ricky Gervais' After Life. I love it. The themes discussed are quite dark, but somehow the characters still cultivate empathy and friendship. A breath of fresh air.
