Week 7: sketching artist

I will start my week with an honorable mention: I forgot to write last week about our raclette night! It’s still a bit too warm for raclette, but it was so nice to sit outside in the garden and watch the stars while eating delicious melted cheese over mushrooms and sausages and potatoes! Njam njam! πŸ˜‹

  • πŸ“Ί This week we watched Dept. Q β€” A pretty good show!
  • I made creamy mushroom pasta for dinner on Friday
  • My trial of DxO Photolab 8 ended and I’m devastated, but I will toughen up as the new Photolab 9 is coming out in a month or so.
  • 🍿 Watched Thursday Murder Club β€” Loved it! The bad reviews on IMDB are all from people who have read the book. I didn’t even know there was a book so for me (and my mom and my husband) the show was great, everything made sense, there was a beginning, a middle, and an end to the story. Highly entertaining!
  • This Sunday we went to Ciutat de les Arts i les CiΓ¨ncies, visited the science museum and saw an exhibition about Leonardo Da Vinci. The highlight was a 10 minutes drawing class where we had to reproduce two of Da Vinci’s sketchs by following some super fast-paced instructions on a TV. It was hilarious!

My version:

Attempt at a sketch of Lady with an Ermine, by someone who is not an artist.

The original:

Lady with an Ermine, by Leonardo da Vinci. The painting portrays a woman from the Renaissance period delicately holding a small white ermine in her arms.

I’ll leave it up to you to decide which one is clearly better…
