Week 21: Fallas Edition
Better one week later than never. This "week" covers March 9 to 22 and the entire period was basically all one big birthday celebration.
- My mother-in-law turned 74 a week ago and she wasn't super happy about it. So we decided we had to start celebrating a few days prior and continue for a full week afterwards. 🎉 On the day off, we sneaked out of the house super early to buy the most beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers, then went for lunch on a wonderful michelin-recommended restaurant. The week was full of music, restaurants, tapas, good wine, smiles and happiness, as it should be! 💐
- FALLAS!!! This year we finally saw it all, mascletà, cremà, nit del foc, ofrenda, everything. MIL was absolutely stunned and in love with the festival :) 🎆
- We normally have almuerzo (Valencian brunch) at a local bar in our pueblo. This weekend, still in celebratory mode, we decided to get fancy and drove to Villa Indiano. Super hipster, lol, the food is overrated, but the weather was nice and the garden is wonderful. 🍺
- We took Luna for a walk around Salto de la Novia, a 30m tall waterfall near Valencia. I miss Astro a lot, but it is so good to be able to take the car and go for long walks in nature! 🏞️
