I watched He-Man on TV as a 90s kid and was so happy about the new movie! But then I saw the trailer and it looks terrible. Has anyone seen it? Yay or Nay?
I suspect they'll only show it for a week here in Spain, so I need to decide kind of NOW if I'm watching in the theaters or not.
Disappeared for a few days for a good reason: we went for a quick road trip around Costa Brava and Occitanie!
In only five days we drove 1600 km and visited Tossa de Mar, Peratallada, Pals, Tamariu, Cadaquès, Besalù, Collioure, Narbonne, Lagrasse and Carcassonne. 💙⛵🏰
I took my illustrated journal with me and tried to draw and write about the trip while on location, which proved impossible, so now I have half the trip on the journal and the other half I'll get done this weekend. I'm pretty happy with my drawings, will definitely publish it for the world wide web to see and rejoice in my art.
Decided to leave all cameras at home and shoot only with the Xiaomi 15U. Told myself I would be super mindful about every frame and shoot like film. Instead, got all excited about the different lenses, found a leica filter I liked, and ended up with 750 photos (and Jaanus shot about the same on his phone), lol. Hopefully, Excire will make it easy to cull. We'll see!

Seen during our morning walk today. And my first time posting to the blog from my phone! 📡📲
Inked my Lamy Safari with Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black and it is so much better than the Lamy's Amazonite I was using before. I thought I was too messy, smudging everything, fountain pens were not for me. Turns out it was the lamy ink! Now I'm finding excuses during the day to write by hand, lol. 🖋️
The more time I spend with my sketchbook, the less I want to be online. It's all so boring, blogging, reddit, youtube, all of it. I want to be all the time in the real analog world, with paper and pen, my cameras, my piano, gardening, baking. I'm so tired of the internet, it's not fun anymore.
My Escoda Versátil watercolor brushes have arrived!! I got the round brushes in sizes 10, 6 and 2 to get started :) Looking forward to painting EVERYTHING I see!!! 🎨🖌️
Did an allergy prick test yesterday. Tested positive to a ton of stuff -- some known: birch pollen, dust mites; some suspected: almonds, cypress pollen; and some surprises: all other kinds of pollen, nuts, cats and DOGS!
No desire to blog this week, but just wanted to write for posterity: started driving lessons last week! Drove all over town and on the highway too! Anxious and insomniac AF over this, but also having fun.
Back from Rome with my mom and mother-in-law! Their first time in Italy, rightfully enjoyed with a little sightseeing, a good amount of pasta, some aperol, a ton of pizza, and a lot of wine. Didn't write any weeknotes this week, will get back on track next Monday :)
Didn't get ANY sleep last night. A massive storm hit us, power went off, dogs in panic. I locked myself in my office with them, petting and calming music until early morning. Now the storm is gone, they are snoring and I'm here, disheveled, zombified, with a full day ahead. 🐶⛈️

Best Sunday ever, laughing and sweating and taking turns playing RAGNAROK VR2 with my husband, my mom and my mother-in-law!!! 🎸🎮🤘
Today I took my driving theory test and I PASSED! 🚗 I got my license 20+ years ago, but because of fear, never really drove. Now I'm 41 and finally ready to get over this. I want to take my dogs to nice places, to take turns driving on road trips, to visit the plant store on a whim!
Today I signed up for Posteo and Addy! 🚀 Moving away after years using a single Gmail account for everything is overwhelming, but I'm excited to use my own domain + aliases (and support EU business)!
I haven't read a single book page in two months 😱
Mom, this morning: "Is it Tuesday already?". Me, annoyed, emphatically: "Of course not, mom. Today is Wednesday". At 18h30 we found out it's Thursday and the only possible explanation is we must have been abducted by aliens! 👽
When we first moved to Spain, we rented an Airbnb for the first month in Castelldefels, a small town 30min by train from Barcelona.
Even though we didn't stay long there, we fell in love with the local people and the city's relaxed, easy going vibes. It was winter back then, so the next summer we came back to check the beach and yep, it was as amazing as we thought it would be! ☀️

We, blurred and shot on film, enjoying summer somewhere sometime.
Eight and a half years with him. I hope it never ends.

While it's true that the Swedish summer can be warm and nice, it usually isn't. Most years are cold and rainy. There is always ONE week in July that's quite perfect. Every five years there's a heat wave that lasts two months. That's it. The Swedish summer in a nutshell.
